After a solid 6 hours of hiking up a mountain in Japan, we found this incredibly picturesque tree at the summit. I was with Gigi Ruf, and he was really liking the tree, even to the point where we tried to incorporate it in an action shot. When all was said and done, we couldn't get the tree in the action photo, but I snapped this quick photo just before we headed out. After overlooking this photo several times I zoomed in on the crop, and just really like the feel and simplicity of this photo.
