This Zine (it can hardly be called a zine because the quality is really good!) is a passion project of mine that I've been sitting on for a while. After a dozen trips to Japan in the last 10 years I had accumulated so many photos that I loved, but like a lot of other photographers, they all sat in negative sheets and hard drives for far too long.

During quarantine I finally bit the bullet and learned how to use InDesign, and just like that, I give you my first stab at a personal print project. This is my documentation of Japan through the eyes of an American snowboarder. There are no captions to let the photos breathe with no distractions. This is not an action only piece, in fact the majority of the Zine is lifestyle, architecture with never before published action sprinkled in to wet the appetite of any snowboard nerd.

Japan will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only because of my heritage, but because it is such a magical experience every time I go. It also is an added bonus that there happens to be some of the best snowboarding on the planet here.
